La Hacienda is a adaptive reuse project that takes a 1920s hotel and turns it into a destination restaurant on the first level accompanied by an office on the second level. The design of this building is inspired by Spanish street culture, and encourages the use of color, fun and plenty of community engagement.
On the first level there is a lobby and outdoor entry garden that draws customers in for the restaurant and retail stores. The destination restaurant is "Rumba" and offers Spanish-style cuisine and every day there are two shows to experience carnival street culture with live dancers and drummers to bring a taste of Spanish culture to Florida. On the second level is SHIFT which is an open office that encourages office engagement. This office features an open kitchen that is open to the workers and guest, there are project rooms, a large classroom and private enclaves to meet the various needs of the workers. There are also refresh zones to ensure the workers are more productive and happy in the workplace.
